Focaccia with Burrata and Mortadella

Focaccia is super easy, cosy and a nice appetizer to serve to visitors or small gatherings. What you need is:

350 gr white bread flour

1 tsp salt

7 gr yeast

1,5 teaspoons olive oil

250 ml waterOlive oil and coarse salt

Topping: Mortadella, Burrata and n’Duja

Put the flour, salt, yeast, olive oil and 3/4 of the water in a bowl. Stir gently to form an elastic firm dough. Add the rest of the water if needed, but the dough should be quite firm. Put the dough in the oven, 50 °C, for one hour. or another warmer place e.g if it is summertime. Take the dough and work it with the hands or a wooden spoon for some minutes and leave it for another 20 minutes. Brush the Focaccia with oil. (If you are not using topping like in the foto, sprinkle some coarse salt on.)

For this recipe just brush the Focaccia with oil and sprinkle some fine salt on.

Heat the oven to 200 °C and bake for 20-25 minutes. The Focaccia should have a yellow-gold color.

As soon as the Focaccia is ready, put some Burrata, Mortadella and n’duja on and serve immediately when hot. If you do not have Burrata and n’duja you can use Mozzarella or buffalo Mozzarella and fresh Chilli pepper.

Red wine and beer suits perfectly.
