Tasting: Harmonious blend representing winery’s soils. Fruity nose of wild berries, blue berries, plum and spice. Taste of oak and herbs. Balanced tannins with a pleasant spicy aftertaste. Let breathe couple of minutes.
Technical: Vines grow in a terroir of clay mix and tufo soil. Grapes are harvested by hand, crushed and macerated in warm temperatures for 20 days, with each grape variety separated. Nero d’Avola and Syrah ages in French barrels the second year for three months, then all four grape varietires are blended together after six months. Aged in bottle for six months before marketing.
Winery: Altitude of the yards are 400 to 500 m.a.s.l. in south Sicilian mountains with constant wind passing the vines and touching sea breeze. The yard is exposed to hot Sicilian sun and fresh shifting night temperatures. Organic certification since 1997.
