Tasting: Presents a light bright red colour, an intense fresh fragrance and lightly sparkling. After pouring we recommend to let the wine rest 5 minutes before consumption.
Technical: This wine produced like decades ago and has the correct Rose colour, a brighter one than the market usually present. Produced by Sicilian saying Pista e ammutta, which means produced fast and put in the barrel.

Winery: Tree sapling and espalier made of low yield sapling at 600 m.a.s.l. Volcanic soil, exposure Etna north, yearly harvest in October. Age of the vineyard is 60-100 years. Fields built on terraces where the wind passes easily between the ranks and excess water flows away. Family owned wine fields with wine production since 1880.
Background story: The name is inspired from Madame Butterfly, the Japanese tragedy where a geisha leaves her past, family and Gods to follow her love, an American sailor under Benjamin Franklin Pinkerton with tragic consequences. The name came as this wine is connected with the Nibali wineyards white wine, Butterfly.
