Tasting: The wine has an orange colour. You might taste raisins, grapefruit, tropical fruits and hints of spicy parts. Let breathe couple of minutes after pouring.
Technical: Harvest made by hand end of October. Grapes are de-stemmed and left to macerate with skins in low temperature’s. Fermentation made with controlled temperature. The wine remains with skin for here months. No sulphites added.
Winery: The winery is located in the Etna wine area on the north side of the volcano, subjected to high temperature variations and mineral rich soils. Mr. Valenti bought the wine yard 2002 and first harvest was made 2006. The winery has several yards from Passopiscaro to Castiglione and by the Etna slopes.
Additional information: The name “Ciuri di Lava” means Lava Flowers. A great social wine.
