Tasting: Fresh, light and elegant alive aromas. You might taste strawberry and forest berries. Can be consumed directly.
Technical: Harvest made by hand middle of October. Grapes are de-stemmed and macerates in low temperature for four hours in contact with the skin. Refined for three months before marketing.
Due to Rose’s light colour they had problems to receive DOC labelling as the market is used to a darker Rose colour. The reason for the light colour is that after harvesting they leave the grape with the skin for four hours and then grapes are pressed.
Winery: The winery is located in the Etna wine area on the north side of the volcano, subjected to high temperature variations and mineral rich soils. Mr. Valenti bought the wine yard 2002 and the first harvest was made 2006. The winery has several yards from Passopiscaro to Castiglione and by the Etna slopes.
Additional information: The name Poesia comes from the owners interest in poetry, lyrics and theatre.
