To find Cabernet Sauvignon in Sicily is common. In fact some wineries has French heritage and some do not even work with local indigenous grapes at all. Cabernet Sauvignon in Sicily has much character and results intense. Dry of course and gives medium to high bodied wines.
The grape has its origins from south of France and in 1600 was born by accident from Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc only to become one of the most planted grapes in the world. Its origins were actually unknown until 1996. A perfect wine to age.
