Tenuta Bastonaca – Wines aging to classical vibes

Tenuta Bastonaca is an organic winery in the very south of Sicily. On 15 hectars they produce Frappato, Nero D’Avola, Grenache and Tannat, following strict organic procedures to protect the environment. All done by hand and even using bamboo sticks instead of cement to support the wines.

What stands out is that they produce a wine Sud IGT aging to classical music. It is scientifically proven that classical music stimulates yeast particles to eat more sugar which speeds up the wine aging and lowers sugar content. It also improves taste.

Winery has vineyards also on Etna and the island of Pantelleria. They also produce olive oil.
